I figure introductions are a good place to start. Fear not though, I shall keep it brief.

The name's Hannah, and it's lovely to have you here. I'm a proud Yorkshire-lass by birth not breeding, and have been writing and drawing with varying levels of skill for most of my life.

I fell in love with art and design at a very young age. I had the fortune of being taught by a passionate and supportive art teacher in primary school and despite not having the best experience in the same classes at secondary school the previously fostered enthusiasm for putting pen/pencil/paintbrush to paper and 'just seeing what happened' did not wane.

As for writing, it's a little less easy to define. I don't have a fixed memory of knowing when I wanted to be a writer. I just know at some point (likely before my brain had developed the ability to apply time stamps to memories) it was explained that the words on the front cover of a book that were not the title were the author/writer's name and a small voice in my head said 'Oh! I'm one of those'.

I'm not quite sure what this blog is going to be yet. It might be a tumbleweed wasteland by the end of the year. It might just be picture after picture after picture of trees. (Which might not be such a bad thing. Trees, after all, are awesome.) What I hope it will be is a bit of a 'method behind the madness' type thing. I'm a huge myth and folklore nut, love a long rambling walk far away from everything, and like designing fonts for fun. I might do sketchbook flip-throughs. I might do walking diaries. I might do small book reviews. I might just bung them all into a lexical casserole together.

I'll try and keep it more regular than sporadic, but asking an autistic brain (which is the kind I got on the ol' neurological tombola) to establish any kind of update to a long established routine is a bit like asking the sun to rise in the west and set in the east for a year. Pigs might just fly!

Either way, I hope there'll be something here that you like. And I hope you'll come back. The shop'll be up just as soon as it stops raining long enough for me to take some decent product pictures. Ah, the glory of the British Summertime in full swing.

See you soon!
